How about an exciting outing for your group?

You have two options for your gathering:

#1 – Group Belay Lessons

Our staff will teach the adults to belay.  (Minimum age to belay is 13; minimum10 participants.)

  • $20 per person, gear included

#2 – Vertical Hold Belays

We provide belayers.  (Minimum 10 participants)

  • $20 per person , gear included

YOUTH CLIMBING CLUB

Class meets Monday/Wednesday 3:30-5:30pm and Saturday mornings 10am – Noon

Vertical Hold’s Youth Climbing Club is two hours of personalized climbing instruction just for climbers between 7 and 16 years old.  Join the club to:

  • Build  technique skills
  • Improve existing technique
  • Develop climbing skills in a supportive, youth-oriented environment
  • Build strength and endurance
  • Set attainable, fulfilling climbing goals
  • Meet new climbing buddies and have fun!

The Club will be fashioned into (3)  options to better accomodate the schedules and lifestyles of different children and parents.

Option 1: 4 Classes, Gear Included, Usable Anytime, Never Expires- $120

Option 2: 8 Classes, Gear Included, Usable Anytime, Never Expires- $200

Option 3: 12 Classes, Gear Included, Usable Anytime, Never Expires- $240

Bring your child in to try the Ycc, 1st trial session is FREE!!!

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Vertical Hold is the perfect place for your next birthday party!  Let our staff provide you and your guests a unique climbing adventure.  Your party package includes unlimited climbing, staff to belay and use of our party area for 3 hours.Parents sit back and enjoy, take photos! 

We offer three time slots for weekend groups: 10am, 1:30pm and 5pm! Call and check on availability!

  Cost: $20 per person (Minimum of 10 persons)

Parties of 30+….$15 per person

  • 3 hour use of party area with tables/tablecloths and chairs
  • Please bring your own cake and food/refreshments

*All Minors (under age 18) MUST have a Minor Waiver filled out and signed by their parent or legal guardian.  The waiver can be downloaded here.

Call to reserve your spot.  $35 non-refundable, transferable deposit due at time of booking.

OVERNITE PARTIES

Vertical Hold offers the party of all parties!  Come spend the night in our climbing gym.

Cost: $35 per person – minimum of 20

(Please note that we can accommodate smaller groups for a flat fee of $700.)

  • Climbing from 9:00 pm that evening to 9:00 am the next morning
  • All gear is included
  • Traditional belay with an ATC is taught
  • No additional charge for instructors

Equipment to bring

  • Sleeping bag and pad
  • Climbing clothes
  • Warm clothes
  • Snacks and drinks

*All Minors (under age 18) MUST have a Minor Waiver filled out and signed by their parent or legal guardian.  The waiver can be downloaded here.

SCOUT MERIT BADGE

We offer instruction to the Boy Scouts of America for the purpose of fulfilling the Climbing Merit Badge Requirements. Climbing merit badge requirements 2 through 12 will be presented and tested by the end of the session. Please contact BSA of San Diego for more information on where to complete requirement 1 (First Aid/CPR) of the climbing bagde.

Cost: $20 per person, 10 person minimum

SUMMER CAMPS

This Summer Vertical Hold has partnered with Positive Adventures LLC to create an amazing adventure camp for your kids!
If your kids had fun here at the gym just wait until they get outside with the Positive Adventures team and experience all that San Diego has to offer.
Activities for camp include rock climbing, surfing, kayaking, mountain biking, snorkeling and a zip line!
