Campus Board
Focused on the Campus Board, a wooden slatted rung ladder meant to be in use without feet, this clinic will focus on power and how to maximize use of the board. Instruction will be given on how to do several exercises and develop climbing strength. The exercises are geared toward power vs endurance and greatly help in bouldering as well as moving past hard sequences, or cruxes, on a variety of climbs. All are welcome to attend although campusing may be easier for those who have some base level of strength such as several sessions as campusing puts a great amount of strain on tendons.
The System Board is one of the few climbing specific training tools that is proven to get results for climbing in multiple departments. The board has several hold types, is capable of foot placement and is steep. All this can add up to progress in footwork, power, endurance, core strength and power endurance as well as hand strength. The clinic will go over multiple exercises on the use of the board. All are welcome to attend although some experience in overhanging steep terrain is suggested as the board is at a 45 degree angle.
